Thousands of salmon swim inside a single seawater pen. Their appetite, growth, stress and health shift with water temperature, oxygen, currents, weather and biology. Farmers can watch the surface. They can point cameras underwater. But reading the behaviour of a living system that large, in real time, stayed out of reach.
